What is cellulite mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy for cellulite is an effective, non-surgical treatment used to improve cellulite. It is called mesotherapy because a mixture of fat- dissolving enzymes is distributed into the mesoderma i.e the fat and connective tissue that lies beneath the skin surface. Cellulite mesotherapy is an effective, successful method used to remove excess cellulite from the skin surface. The main enzymes used at Dermatology Cosmetic Centre for cellulite mesotherapy are phosphatidylcholine, caffeine combined with diffreant minerals and vitamins. After treatment the dissolved fat is excreted naturally from the body.
In what treatment areas cellulite mesotherapy can be applied?
Cellulite can appear in any given area of the body but the most common treatment areas are:

What results are expected from cellulite mesotherapy treatment?
Cellulite mesotherapy treatment is an effective, non-surgical treatment that aims to remove excess cellulite and improve the texture of the skin. For clinically apparent results patients should have 3-6 treatment sessions. Each session is repeated every 2-3 weeks. Results start to be visible after the 2nd session. The number of treatments needed depends from the length of cellulite, location of the cellulite, gender and vascular abnormalities are present. During treatment, for maximum results, patients are advised to hydrate their body, follow a healthier diet and exercise on frequent occasions.
How is cellulite mesotherapy performed?
The process includes administrating a mixture of fat-dissolving enzymes into the fat and connective tissue with the use of small injections. After initial consultation and assessment with Dr Sakka, the area is cleaned with antiseptic and followed by very superficial injections (Dr Sakka uses very thin needles the thickness of a hair) making treatment almost pain-free. After treatment patients can return instantly to everyday activities.
Are there any side effects?
Like all injectable treatments patients can develop small bruises (resolves within few days) at the injection side areas. After side effects include mild burning sensation and itchiness at the injection side (resolves within 24 hours). Extremely rare side effect is for a patient to develop allergy.
